Computer-Based Testing (CBT) Exam Schedule
Due to the ongoing pandemic, there are changes to the exam schedule. For 2021, CBT will be available year-round (not just in April and September). C-NET is accepting applications at any time and will extend permits past the 90 days if requested at no extra charge.

Special Test Site Information and Application
CBUNA works with the Center for Nursing Education and Testing (C-NET®) to offer certification examination. Click here to go to the Special Test Site section of the C-NET website, which contains a list of frequently asked questions that explains the process of creating a temporary exam site, as well as room set-up guidelines and the Special Test Site application for submission to C-NET.
Period of Certification
Certification will be valid for 3 years and renewal is available either by retaking the written exam or submitting a minimum of 36 urologic-specific continuing education contact hours. The hours must be earned in the last 3 years and must be specific to urology. All certifications will expire as of December 31 (common expiration date) of the year you are due to recertify.

Passing Scores for Certification Examinations
Certified Urologic Associate (CUA) ~ As of October 2013, the passing score for the CBUNA Associate exam was determined and set at 72% by using the Angoff Procedure.
Certified Urologic Registered Nurse (CURN®) ~ As of October 2018, the passing score for the CBUNA Registered Nurse exam was determined and set at 70% by using the Angoff Procedure.
Certified Urologic Nurse Practitioner (CUNP®) ~ As of October 2017, the passing score for the CBUNA Nurse Practitioner exam was determined and set at 72% by using the Angoff Procedure.
Scholarship Available
Take advantage of the Jan Le Bouton CBUNA Certification Scholarship! The recipient of this scholarship receives a stipend to cover the cost of the CBUNA Certification Examination, a copy of the CBUNA Examination Preparation Guide, as well as complimentary registration to the SUNA uroLogic Conference that year.
